God is Good! All the Time!<\/p>\n
Rather than use typical social media to tell this story, I thought it would be more beneficial to write a post.<\/p>\n
Beffie received the results of her third biopsy today and it was CLEAR of Leukemia! Praise the Lord! This is a massive first step towards complete healing! At this point she needs to get her “numbers” up so that her body is able to defend itself. When her numbers are where they need to be, she will be able to come home! We are thinking it will be one to two weeks before she is able to do that. There will be a few more treatments over the next six months to make sure she is completely healed.\u00a0 Please keep in mind this is a very high level overview as I am not a doctor \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Beffie started her chemo on March 18 and finished it a week later.\u00a0 She was a champion all the way through and battled through a handful of side effects, none of which caused her to be bed ridden.\u00a0 I was blown away by how strong she was.\u00a0 She was up and around her room, reading from her couch and chair, all the while making sure her room was clean and tidy.<\/p>\n
Last Wednesday was day 14 and she needed to have a second bone marrow biopsy to see if she was clear or not.\u00a0 The test came back inconclusive.\u00a0 Beffie was super strong when she received the news, while I had to remind myself over and over to trust Jesus and be patient.\u00a0 I received this news right before I was to participate in our church<\/a>‘s new online service, Wednesday Night Live.\u00a0 You can catch the episode here<\/a>.\u00a0 God gave me the strength to do the episode and receive so many blessings for going through with it.\u00a0 Yesterday, (Thursday) I prayed for strengthened trust and patience while Beffie went through another biopsy.\u00a0 This evening We got the news we had been praying for.\u00a0 Beffie’s bone marrow was clear of Leukemia a week after completing her first chemo treatment.<\/p>\n At this time I want to thank EVERYONE who has been praying on my wife’s behalf!\u00a0 God has heard your prayers and His glory is evident by the news we received today.\u00a0 We will never be able to repay all of you who have been praying for us.\u00a0 I have been praying special blessings for you as my thanks!\u00a0 I am truly humbled by the outpouring of prayers for my wife.\u00a0 I know she is a special girl, but I think I underestimated how big her impact actually is.\u00a0 I am one lucky guy!<\/p>\n Although we are on our way to where we want to be, I ask that you continue to pray for Beffie.\u00a0 She is on the right path but I am sure she will go through times where she doesn’t feel good.<\/p>\n Lord, I thank you so much for answered prayers and putting Beffie on the path to healing.\u00a0 You are so so good!\u00a0 Please help us to continue to trust You and have patience with Your works.\u00a0 Help us to get rid of the clutter inside of us so that You will have room to do Your work within us.\u00a0 Please bless all of the doctors, nurses, and other staff at UVA Hospital and let them know how appreciative we are of their compassion and care.\u00a0 They have been exceptional to us from the beginning.\u00a0 I pray a special blessing over them as I can’t repay them for what they are doing.\u00a0 Lord, I pray that Your glory continues to be shown during this difficult time;\u00a0 through my family’s tribulations and the illness around the world.\u00a0 In Jesus name I pray, Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" God is Good!
